Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Gone Fuel handles personal information when you use our website, submit an order, receive an invoice, make a payment, contact us or otherwise interact with us.
1. About this policy
Gone Fuel is committed to handling personal information responsibly. Where the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles apply to us, we will handle personal information consistently with those requirements. We also aim to follow these privacy practices as a matter of good business practice where an exemption may apply.
In this policy, “Gone Fuel”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to the business operating the Gone Fuel meal-prep service.
2. Personal information we may collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:
- your full name;

- website and technical information such as IP address, browser type, device information, cookies and website usage data where these technologies are enabled; and

3. Dietary, allergy and health-related information
Information about allergies, medical dietary requirements or other health-related needs may be sensitive information. Please provide only information that is relevant to your order. Where required by law, we will collect sensitive information only with your consent and where it is reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose.

6. Orders, invoices and direct payments
Gone Fuel may operate on an order-confirmation and invoicing model. After you submit an order request, we may review the order, confirm availability and send you an invoice showing the amount payable and payment instructions.
We may retain records of the invoice, amount, payment date, transaction reference and payment status for order administration, accounting and taxation purposes.
We do not ask you to submit full payment-card details through the Gone Fuel order form. If a bank, payment provider or other financial institution processes your payment, that provider handles the transaction under its own terms and privacy practices.
7. Invoice and taxation records
We may keep invoices, sales records and payment records for the period required by applicable taxation and record-keeping laws. Where applicable, invoices may contain information required under Australian taxation law.
8. Marketing communications
We may send you promotional emails, SMS messages or other electronic marketing where we have your consent or are otherwise permitted to do so by law.
Marketing communications will identify the sender and include a way to unsubscribe. Transactional messages about an order, invoice, payment or service request are not treated as marketing communications.
9. When we may disclose personal information
We may disclose personal information where reasonably necessary to:
- website hosting and technical service providers;
- email and communications providers;
- accounting, bookkeeping and invoicing providers;
- banks and payment providers;
- delivery providers where required to complete an order;
- analytics, advertising and social-media service providers where those services are used;
- professional advisers such as accountants, lawyers or insurers; and
- government, regulatory, law-enforcement or other bodies where required or authorised by law.
We do not sell customer personal information to unrelated third parties.
10. Overseas processing and service providers
Some technology, email, hosting, analytics, advertising, accounting or payment service providers may store or process information outside Australia. The countries involved can depend on the service provider and its infrastructure. Where the Australian Privacy Principles apply, we will take reasonable steps required by law in relation to overseas disclosures.
11. Cookies and website technologies
Our website may use cookies and similar technologies for functionality, security, analytics, advertising or performance. You may be able to control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling some cookies may affect website functionality.
12. How we protect personal information
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. Measures may include access controls, password protection, secure hosting, software updates and restricted access to business records.
No website, email system or electronic transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
13. Data breaches
If a data breach occurs, we will assess and respond to it in accordance with applicable law. Where the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme applies and a breach is likely to result in serious harm, we will take the notification steps required by law.
14. How long we keep information
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy or as required by law. Order, invoice, payment and taxation records may need to be retained for statutory record-keeping periods. When information is no longer required, we will take reasonable steps to destroy it or de-identify it where appropriate.
15. Access and correction
You may contact us to request access to personal information we hold about you or to ask us to correct information that is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading. We may need to verify your identity before processing a request.
16. Anonymity and pseudonyms
Where practical and lawful, you may interact with us without identifying yourself or by using a pseudonym. However, we generally need accurate identifying and contact information to process an order, issue an invoice, arrange delivery, manage payment or respond to an account-specific request.
17. Privacy complaints
If you have a privacy concern or complaint, please contact Gone Fuel using the contact details available through our website. We will review the matter and aim to respond within a reasonable period.
Where the Privacy Act applies to us and you are not satisfied with our response, you may have the right to make a complaint to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
18. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when our business practices, technology, services or legal obligations change. The current version will be published on our website with the date of the latest update.
